About Activity Station

Class 1: Scratch-Build Boat - Material Fee: $200.00

Days 1 & 2: We will design and build vehicle concepts from scratch using materials such as foam board, hot glue, tape, and much more! Upon completion of our prototypes, we incorporate radio controlled equipment such as radio receivers, servos and speed controllers to take the fun to the next level.

Days 2 & 3: During our builds, your child will have an opportunity to solder wires and connectors for their own machines, and learn about batteries, motors, and electricity.

Day 4: At the end of the build process, we take them outside and give them a whirl! This is the best part! During this stage we have an opportunity to learn how our creations operate, float, sail, fly, or roll.

Class 2: Aquascaping - Materials Fee: $200.00

Days 1 & 2: We will learn how design and build ecosystems for aquatic environments. By understanding the needs of aquatic animals and plants, an environment can be created sustain life.

Days 2 & 3: During our aquarium builds, your child will have everything they need to aquascape their environment including an aqaurium for them to take home, soil substrate, decorative rocks, live plants, and fish!

Day 3: At the end of the build process, your child will bring home their own self sustaining ecosystem that will require very little care except for that of occasional water top-offs and a feeding.
